3D Scan
Capturing the measurements of a large object or building with conventional documentation methods can take days or weeks, and even then, the data might contain errors or missing details. But FARO Focus Laser Scanners create accurate, complete, and photorealistic 3D images of any environment or object in just a few minutes. With their intuitive touch screen and compact design, these FARO Focus 3D scanners are as easy to operate as a digital camera, with built-in protection from dirt, dust, fog, rain, and heat/cold.
Improved efficiency

FARO scanners drastically reduce the time required to document conditions on-site, allowing teams to focus on higher-value tasks.
Faster, more reliable results
Data capture is completed in a fraction of the time with precision that significantly reduces the need for rework.
Save money by reducing the scheduled time
By minimizing labor hours and accelerating workflows, FARO technology contributes directly to lower project costs and faster turnarounds.
Pre-construction VDC efforts help identify constructability
With accurate as-built models and real-world site conditions, FARO supports proactive planning and clash detection before construction begins.
Improved coordination between trades
Point cloud data can be integrated into BIM/VDC platforms, ensuring all disciplines are working from the same precise information, reducing delays caused by miscommunication.
Create an accurate project design with a typical 7 million points per scan and accuracy of up to 2mm
This level of detail supports confident decision-making, enables high-fidelity modeling, and helps teams identify even the smallest deviations or structural inconsistencies.
Seamless integration with design and construction workflows
FARO scans can be easily imported into industry-standard software like Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and others—supporting design validation, MEP coordination, and progress tracking.
Enhanced safety and reduced site visits
With the ability to scan hazardous or hard-to-reach areas quickly and remotely, FARO technology reduces the need for manual measurements, improving jobsite safety and minimizing disruption.

Virtual Design Manager
As Virtual Design Manager at Walton & Company, Andy leads the coordination and execution of all BIM (Building Information Modeling) and VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) efforts. With over 15 years of experience in mechanical design and project coordination, he brings precision, efficiency, and a field-focused mindset to every job.
Andy’s background includes a wide range of commercial and multi-residential projects—from large-scale distribution centers and multi-story office buildings to specialty medical facilities and retail environments. He works closely with engineering teams, project managers, and field leaders to ensure mechanical systems are modeled for constructability, accuracy, and performance.
Andy is also a dedicated public servant, volunteering for over two decades with Mountville Fire Company No. 1, where he currently serves as Deputy Fire Chief. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Megan, and their two children, Hunter and Bella.
