Custom Facilities Platform
CHALLENGE
Covanta, the world’s largest Waste-to-Energy provider, had limited access to two co-joining rooms without an easy way to access them.
SOLUTION
Covanta teamed up with Walton & Company to design an access platform for employee safety egress to targeted areas. The benefits of the access platform are to help with area efficiency, and access, and reduce production schedule times. To help identify construction hangups, our designer Michael Yates, scanned the area with our FARO Focus 3D scanner to create accurate building documentation to 3D images of the area. This assisted in the design of the platform structure. We were able to fabricate and reassemble the platform in our shop for ease of onsite installation.
