Walton is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer who will plan, conceptualize, create, and estimate HVAC and plumbing mechanical systems for industrial and manufacturing projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems, components, controls design, or redesign existing components for commercial construction and industrial projects.
• Prepare project estimate, manpower requirements, and project proposal.
• Ability to assess building mechanical requirements and deficiencies and recommend efficient cost-effective approaches to satisfy the design requirements and/or corrective actions to fix problems.
• Confer with customers, Project Managers, Estimators, and Engineers to clarify or resolve problems.
• Direct the work of Virtual Design and Engineering staff as required.
• Perform field survey work in support of project development.
• Perform analysis of building loads and piping systems.  Building energy modeling is a plus.
• Create construction documents.
• Select equipment and fixtures as required.
• Effectively communicate and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects and meet client deadlines.
• Perform/attend turnover and closeout meetings.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• B.S. in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Experience designing Mechanical HVAC building systems.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (E.I.T.) certification (required), Professional Engineering License (P.E.) in PA (preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize Microsoft SharePoint and Teams to communicate with other team members and customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Comfortable making oral group presentations.
• Detailed-oriented with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team and work with minimal supervision.
