SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

Medical, Hospitalization, Dental/Vision, Prescriptions
Two plans are available. Basic plan deductible with in-network services paid at 90%. The buy-Up plan has a higher premium with a lower deductible and services paid at 100%. A separate plan for Dental/Vision. Spouses are eligible only if they do not have employer-provided coverage.
Life Insurance
$15,000 policy paid for employee’s non-work related death. Walton pays all premiums. Employees may purchase additional coverage.
Short Term Disability
Walton will pay 50% of the employee’s base weekly pay for up to six months for a medically certified, total disability
Long Term Disability
After six (6) months of a medically certified total disability, will pay 60% of the employee’s monthly earnings, to a maximum monthly income of $5,000 a month.
Workers' Compensation
Provides medical services and income protection if an employee is injured or becomes ill as a direct result of work.
401(k) Plan: Pre-Tax Roth Option: Post-Tax
Provides savings and income for retirement. Employees can contribute a tax-deferred portion of their salary up to the maximum allowed by the IRS. The matching contribution is 100% of the first 3% of your pay, plus 50% of the next 2% of your pay that you contribute. Both employee and employer contributions are immediately 100% vested.
Holidays
Seven (7) paid holidays a year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Funeral Leave
Employees receive three (3) days of bereavement Paid Time Off for the death of a spouse, child, mother, or father. One (1) day for the death of a brother, sister, grandparent, legal guardian, stepparent, mother-in-law, or father-in-law.
Jury Duty Pay
Employees who are excused from attending jury duty will receive the difference between their base pay (based on 8 hours) and the jury duty pay for each day they serve.
Bonus
Discretionary Christmas bonus for all employees. The bonus is dependent on Walton meeting business and financial objectives for the year.
Credit Union
Credit Union members can arrange payroll deductions for Christmas Club –Savings - Loans and other AccountPlans.
Personal Benefits Package
Plan allows employees to purchase additional insurance (disability, accident, cancer, etc.). Premiums are paid by payroll deduction, many at pre-tax savings.

LegalShield Family Legal Plan
Plan provides 24-hour access to legal services, including wills, traffic court, divorces, bankruptcy, and contracts. Premiums are paid by payroll deduction
Employee Referral Bonus
$500 bonus paid to any employee who refers an individual for hire and that individual remains with Walton for a least six months. Individuals must write the employee’s name on the application as the referral source.
Apprenticeship
State-registered apprenticeships are available in Sheet Metal, HVAC, and Plumbing. All fees paid. Program details are available through the Human Resources Department.
Educational Assistance
100% reimbursement for tuition, text, and course fees (with a “C” grade or better) for classes relevant to the employee’s position. Program details are available through the Human Resources Department.
In-House Training Program
Combination of In-House and Out-of-House seminars and classes provided to advance employees’ skills.
Employee Assistance Program
Provides 3 hours each year of free confidential counseling and other services to employees or family members.
Safety Glasses Program
Employees will be reimbursed up to $65.00 a year with the purchase of prescription safety glasses (not sunglasses).
Safety Toe Boot Program
Employees will be reimbursed up to $125.00 a year with the purchase of steel-toe boots.
Uniform Program
Walton will provide uniforms with cleaning services for Service Technicians and Warehouse employees. Shop employees can pay for uniform rental and cleaning services thru payroll deductions.
Tool Account
Tools may be purchased (for the employee’s personal use or use in the employee’s household)) at company cost plus sales tax. Employees may charge their purchases through the company on their Tool Account and pay by payroll deduction. See Accounting Department for details.
Wellness Coach
The wellness coach provides face-to-face onsite wellness coaching. Available to all employees.
